PLAYER RULES

Bradley-Bourbonnais 7-8 League

 

 

1)            League equipment and uniforms are to be used for League practices, games                   and special events only.

 

2)            All playground equipment is off limits to all players in complete uniform.

 

3)            No metal cleats are allowed at any time.

 

4)            Climbing over fences to enter or leave the park is prohibited.  Disciplinary action will be   

            taken by the Board.

      

5)            No throwing of any foreign object at any time.  This will result in an automatic game    

suspension.

 

6)            No heckling of any players at any time will be allowed. This includes players waiting to

play the following game or players who have already completed playing. Any player caught doing so will be subject to the following consequences:

 

                        1st offense         Warning

                        2nd offense        1 game suspension

 

7)            NO ON DECK BATTER……………….  All players that are not at bat, on base or

            playing on the field must be in the dugout at all times.

 

8)            Any player who intentionally throws equipment, (at the discretion of the umpire) will be          

            ejected from the game and suspended for  his/her next regularly scheduled game.  In the

umpire’s judgment, he may also issue a warning for any non-intentional violation.

 

9)            Any player ejected or removed from a game for any reason other than sickness or injury,

has automatically waived their right to the mandatory play rule for that game and possibly the next scheduled game.

 

10)        A Manager with advanced approval from the division Vice President, the Player Agent,

and one other board member may request a one (1) game suspension of a player for disciplinary reasons. Parents will be informed of any suspension given by the Manager.

 

11)        All male players must wear a hard athletic cup to all practices and games.

 

12)        All alcoholic beverages and any type of drugs are forbidden at practices, games or at the

baseball complex itself.  Anyone caught with drugs or alcohol will be turned over to the AUTHORITIES IMMEDIATELY.

 

13)        Abusive, profane language will not be tolerated under any circumstances by any

PLAYER (while wearing any part of his/her uniform), while at the baseball complex or practice site. Disciplinary action will be taken as follows for those not abiding by this rule:

 

                              1st offense:              One (1) game suspension

                              2nd offense:             Disqualification of Player from League

 

14)        All players must be in complete league-issued uniform of long pants, uniform shirt,

      uniform hat and socks before they will be allowed on the playing field.

 

15)        You are responsible for getting to and from your practices and games at the time your                                           

Manager or Coach tells you.

 

16)        You are responsible for following all the League rules.

 

17)        You are responsible for helping to keep the teams equipment and garbage picked up             

 during and after your teams game, in the dugout and bleacher area.

 

18)       All players must play a minimum of two (2) innings a game. This includes at bat once and every player must play two full games per season.  If a Manager fails to follow this rule, he/she will be given the following suspension:

 

                                    1st offense:                    One game suspension

                        2nd offense:                   Removal as Manager
