MANAGER RULES

Bradley-Bourbonnais Little League=

 

1)      =             The Manager and Coaches are required to help prepare the field for = the start of the season, after a rainfall and during the season.  Parents should be encouraged to participate; after all, their child(ren) will be playing on this field.

 

2)      =             Your team is responsible for picking up the dugout and bleacher area during and

after the game. 

 

3)      =             The Manager or Representative from the last game of the day is to s= tay until all equipment has been picked up, playing field has been manicured for the next playing day, concession stand has been closed, flag has been taken down and all the players have been picked up. A manager and/or coach must a= lso wait for all players to be picked up from practice before leaving the site = themselves. Violation of the rule is an follows:

1st Offense= :       Warning

2nd Offense= :      One game suspension

3rd Offense= :       Remov= al of Manager

 

4)      =             Each team may have a maximum of three adults in the dugout. They must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.  This rule is an “Insurance Regulation” and must be followed.&nb= sp; Violation of the rule is an follows:

 

1st Offense= :       Warning

2nd Offense= :      One game suspension

3rd Offense= :       Remov= al of Manager   

 

5)      =             Each Manager is responsible for finding a Team Parent to help with = the fundraisers, concession work and team pictures. 

 

6)      =             All Managers need to call a parent meeting to explain how they will= run their team and what is expected of their players and from them as parents. A board member must be present. Meeting must be held prior to the start of practice.

 

7)      =             All Managers will make copies of the League Rules and Players Rules= for their players and their parents.  Please go over these rules with all the players and parents at the meeting.

 

8)      =             A Manager with advanced approval from the division Vice President, = the Player Agent, and one other board member may request, in writ= ing, a one (1) game suspension of a player for disciplinary reason= s. Parents will be informed of any suspension given by the Manager.=

 

9)         There will be no cell phone, pager, or walkie-talkie usage inside the playing field. 

Violation of this rule is as follows:=

 

1st offense:            =         One game suspension

2nd offense:            =        Removal as Manager

 

10)       Abusive, profane language wi= ll not be tolerated under any circumstance by any Manager or Coach while at the baseball complex or at the practice site<= b>.  Disciplinary action will be taken = as follows for those not abiding by this rule.

11)       Manag= ers will need to attend the yearly clean up days, sign-ups, try-outs, and the        =             &nb= sp;    

        &= nbsp;   drafts that are held each year.

 

12)       Managers caught intentionally not following the Little League playing rules or League rules will be given= the following suspension:

 

            =             &nb= sp;           1st offense:      = ;            &n= bsp; One game suspension

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;            &= nbsp;  2nd offense:      = ;             <= /span>Removal as Manager

 

13)       All players must play a minimum of two (2) innings a game. This includes batting once.  Every player must play = three (3) full games per season.  Any player brought up during the season must play either 1 full game or 1/6 of = the remaining games as&nbs= p; full games, whichever is greater. If a Manager fails to follow this rule, he/she will be given the following suspension, which can carry o= ver to the following season, if necessary:

14)  &n= bsp;    The player that was not given his/her two innings will then start the next scheduled game and play the complete game.

 

15)       There= will be a 3-member review committee to deal with any problems with

Managers/Coaches or Player= s. The review committee may assign discipline points based on evaluation of the situation. The committee will inform the Board of the decision.

 

16)       If a manager or coach gets 3 point= s or more in a season, they will not be allowed to manage or coach the remainder= of the season or in any post season games and will be subject to Board review.=

 

17)       Each = team will have a team file at the LL field house to keep all team info in.<= /o:p>

 

18)       Each team will have a written set of team rules that the Manager/Coach, Parents and Players will sign.  These team rules will be kept in t= he team file at the LL field house.  If your team rules are not turned into the VP of Little League prior to your 1= st regular scheduled season game, you will be suspended as a manager until you complete this obligation.

19) &nbs= p;     Background checks for the manager, coaches, and team parent must be turned in to the division V.P. prior to any interaction with the players.
