LEAGUE RULES

Bradley-Bourbonnais T-Ball Divisi= on

 

The official playing rules as published by Little League Baseball, Inc., Williamsport, PA shall be followed by our league along with the following league rules.=

 

1)         = A game will consist of two (2) innings. Each team will have two (2) turns at = bat and two (2) times playing the field. An official game consists of two (2) complete innings. There is a time limit of one hour on all games.

 

2)         Each team will p= lay all players defensively each inning, using the extra players in the outfield only.

 

3)         Each player on t= he roster in attendance will bat both innings.

 

4)         Batters hit off = the “t” until the ball is hit into fair play. There are no strikeou= ts. However, if the batter is having difficulty hitting the ball fair the ball = may be called fair after the 5th swing. The batter will then become a base runner.

 

5)         The field shall = have an arc of a 30-foot radius from the tip of home plate extending from the first base line to the third base line on the infield. A batted ball not hit past this arc shall be called foul. If a bal= l is caught on the fly in the radius it is ruled a foul ball and the batter is o= ut. The area in the radius is considered foul territory. The home team is responsible for establishing this arc prior to the first game of the day.

 

6)         If a manager fai= ls to play a player as required in a game, the following rule will be enforced against the manager:

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   2nd offense:      = ; Dismissal of the manager

 

7)         = There will be no Sunday practices.

 

8)  =        There will be no protests.

 

9)   &nbs= p;     All play will stop when any health threatening weather exists or because of darkness. The game will be called by a board member or a “Gentlemen’s Agreement” between the managers.

 

10)       If a = game is called before it has become an official game, but after one (1) or more innings have been completed, it shall be resumed exactly where left off when rescheduled.

11)       If by “Gentlemen’s Agreement” of both teams, the manager of the team with the most players may send any player/players over to the other te= am for that game only so the game may be played.

 

 

1= 2)      =         All players must slide on close plays or they will = be called out.

 

13)       THERE= WLL BE NO HEAD FIRST SLIDES – RUNNERS WILL BE CALLED OUT

Exception: A runner may slide headfirst when returning to the previous base on a close call.

 

14)       The pitcher must be in conta= ct with the rubber until the ball is hit.

 

15)       If a ball enters any dugout,= the play is dead from that point on. Runners will advance one base. All balls t= hat bounce over the outfield fence are ground rule doubles. Runners will advance two bases.

 

16)      One adult = (over 18) must remain in the dugout at all times.

 

17)       Infie= lders must stay on the infield and not go into to the grass outfield to field

balls. Outfielders must sta= y in the outfield and not go into the infield to field balls.<= /p>

 

18)       Helmets, with face masks, are required for all pitchers, the batter, and all runners on base. The catcher must wear a chest protector and a catcher’s mask with a dangling throat protect.

 

19)       There= will be no throwing of bats.

 

20)       Both managers are responsibl= e to not bat players out of order.

 

21)       Runners may not leave a base until the ball is hit. There is no leading off or stealing bases.

 

22)       LAST BATTER: All players in attendance must bat each inning, no matter how many outs. If the last batter flies or pops out the inning is retired. If the last batter hits a ground b= all and gets hit, the defensive team must relay the ball to the catcher, who retires the inning by touching home plate. If the last batter hits a ball a= nd it bounces over the fence, it will stand as a ground rule double. The defen= sive team is not allowed to run the ball into home plate-they must throw it to t= he catcher. Any violation of this rule will result in the offensive team to sc= ore one (1) run. If the ball is thrown out of bounds in the process of relaying= it to the catcher, it is ruled a dead ball and all runs are allowed to score. = THIS APPLIES TO THE LAST BATTER ONLY!

 

23)=       All male pl= ayers must wear a hard athletic cup to all practices and games.=

 

 

25)       Smoking is prohibited in the vicinity of the t-ball field. Smoking is allowed= only along the Little League and Minor League outfield fences, from the left field foul pole to the scoreboard.=

 

26)       In the event of rain, you ar= e to report for a scheduled game unless you hear from the division Vice Presiden= t or the Player Agent that the game is canceled. The player agent will reschedule rain outs. Rainouts may be played on Sundays and holidays, if necessary.
